IT'S FAIR TIME!!!

We decided to take the kids to the COUNTY FAIR.... we have never been in the three years we have lived here. ..It's pretty sad when you have to go to the fair to see farm animals!!! We had a great time..the kids loved the climbing wall the most...that's the two oldest boys....

It's a RACE!!!

The climbing wall also had these bungee things that you wear and then you jump on a tramoline ... Number 3 and 4 decided to do that instead.... they went so.... high-- see the girls hand-- she standing on a trampoline that was about three feet off of the ground...this was on his way down!!!!

Up, Up, Up and away.....Even higher still..... he couldn't stop smiling... he loved it and could have gone up and down forever...She was a little nervous.... but ended up loving it too...
She went WAY higher than all her brothers... she was SUPER DUPER HIGH UP!!! It made me nervous to watch!!!

I hope that this is the only HARLEY my girls ride for a LONG TIME!!!

Shane decided to take off his training wheels last Saturday... these pictures were taken just minutes later.... He just took off... no running behind holding the seat, no big painful crashes, no help going up the curb or down the driveway. He is only THREE years old!!!

He even did a few "pop-a-wheely's"!!

How Does Your Garden Grow??

It's Springtime in Vegas!!

We decided to try our first garden Las Vegas style!!! Small and with minimal expectations!!!

I have heard it is a difficult task in the scorching summer heat....

All of you country folk probably think this doesn't even count as a garden!! But, with our HUGE yard this is the best we could do. If it works out, we might expand onto bigger and better things next year. We did just see some carrots a friend's of ours planted in OCTOBER-- they actually look like they could be prize winning carrots-- they are huge...they grew all winter and didn't even die in the cold...who knew???

Now, our bountiful harvest won't be spoiled for lack of water!!!

These are our carrots... no, they aren't weeds.. but tiny cute little carrot sprouts!!!

We planted annehiem peppers, tomatoes, onions and cilantro... (all for the fresh salsa I have been making on a frequent basis) and some squash, watermelon, cucumbers and my least favorite flower in all the world....marigolds ....to keep the bugs away... we shall see how it all goes...

Now there is something that I am good at growing.... Cute Little Babies!!!
