We have a TEENAGER!!!

I can't believe he is THIRTEEN!!! Shane was out of town for his birthday this year - that was a bummer.... but he still got the present he wanted... a new cell phone!!! Since he jumped into the pool with his old one and it didn't survive!!  He is such a great kid!! And now he is officially taller than MOM!!!  He is so easy to be around-  And has become the favorite babysitter among our friends as well.  They all pay him WAY better than I do!!! He has quite the sense of humor and enjoys making us all laugh!!  He is at scout camp this week... working towards earning 18 merit badges in ONE month!!! He will be ready to get his EAGLE after this month!!  We hope he is having a great time and doesn't cut his arm off, lose a leg, or get lost or something!!!  We love you - and are proud to be your parents!!!

We went to our friends house to CELEBRATE and have BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!  That made it not quite as lonely without DAD!!! Happy THIRTEEN #1!!!!

The other day, our oldest daughter decided to make us a cake....we had just finished dinner and weren't ready to have dessert yet.  Then, our littlest daughter decided that she wanted to have some cake. She came over to me and 'asked' for some....(that is an overstatement, what she really did was hit my leg several times saying...'ake, ake, ake'... she doesn't talk in complete sentences.... really, not even in complete words....) I told her 'No' and she went on her way.... we should have known better!!! When she came back into the room with a little bowl full of cake crumbs - we knew we were going to find a SURPRISE in the kitchen.  We went to take a look at the crime scene... and this is what we saw....

She decided to help herself to some cake! What an ingenuitive little stinker! AND she left a trail of evidence behind!!!
